The adhesive material used for the tabs and tapes is fully transparent for EDS analysis with only trace amounts of Al and Si. The material is constructed using a super smooth aluminium foil coated on both sides with a conductive, carbon filled pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. The result is a super smooth surface combined with high conductivity. Total thickness of the material is approximately 110\u00b5m with an adhesive thickness of 40\u00b5m on each side. The adhesive exhibits a high adhesion strength to metals, plastics,&nbsp; ceramics, wafers, rubber, wood, glass, paper, and small particles or fibers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Features and benefits of the super smooth double sided carbon tapes are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Super smooth thin material; 110\u00b5m total with 40\u00b5m adhesive on each side of the Aluminium foil carrier<\/li><li>High conductivity<\/li><li>Excellent for fine powders and small fibres<\/li><li>Ideal for automated EDS particle analysis<\/li><li>Use temperature range -20\u00b0C to + 60\u00b0C<\/li><li>Low outgassing rates<\/li><li>Fully EDS transparent high purity for EDS applications<\/li><li>High strength thin adhesive (2&#215;40\u00b5m) combined with high tack<\/li><li>Long shelf life and can be stored in a refrigerator<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Super smooth conductive double sided adhesive carbon tabs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;EM-Tec super smooth conductive double sided adhesive carbon tabs&nbsp;are supplied on a clear plastic sheet with easy lift-off plastic liner tabs. Available as \u00d812mm and \u00d824mm carbon tabs.<br>To use: lift the tab of the clear backing sheet, press the sticky surface to the mount, then remove the easy lift-off white liner tab, leaving the adhesive exposed. Mount sample on the exposed adhesive. Alternatively, the white easy lift-off &nbsp;liner tab can be removed, the stub pressed on the exposed carbon tab and the clear plastic lifted off.&nbsp; The carbon tabs can be easily removed with isopropanol, ethyl acetate, ethanol or acetone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The \u00d812mm carbon tabs are compatible with \u00d812.7mm pin stubs, \u00d812.2mm JEOL stubs and \u00d815mm Hitachi stubs.<\/li><li>The \u00d824mm carbon tabs are compatible with \u00d825.4mm pin stubs, \u00d825mm JEOL stubs and \u00d825mm Hitachi stubs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Super smooth conductive double sided adhesives carbon tapes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Super smooth conductive double sided adhesive carbon tapes: The material is identical to the material used for the super smooth carbon tabs with one difference; the tapes are self-wound with a thin white liner on one side of the tape. The tape can be shaped into custom forms, strips and cut-outs. Available with 5mm, &nbsp;8mm, 12mm and 20mm width by 20m long. To use: Cut the required length of carbon tape. Cut to shape if needed. Remove the white liner from one side and adhere to tape to the sample support. The use of sharp pointed tweezers helps to lift the liner of the adhesive. Remove the top liner and adhere sample to the tape.
