These high quality Swiss made tweezers are available in two materials:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>EM-Tec CT tweezers are made from poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF) reinforced with 30% carbon fibre. ESD safe, tough material with excellent chemical resistance.<\/li><li>EM-Tec CN tweezers are made from the engineering plastic polyamide66 reinforced with 30% carbon fibre.&nbsp; ESD safe, strong material with excellent wear and abrasion resistance. It has a lower cost compared to the CT material.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both materials are ESD safe and strong due to the added carbon fibres. The materials differ in strength, chemical resistance and temperature compatibility. Softer plastic tweezers are ideal for handling scratch sensitive materials such as aluminium, brass, copper and plastics. The softer plastic tweezers are also better for handling silicon chips or glass to avoid damage and debris. Between the 2 materials and the 7 styles of tweezers, virtually all applications can be covered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EM-Tec CT polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) carbon fibre reinforced ESD safe plastic tweezers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ESD safe EM-Tec CT tweezers are made from PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride and carbon fibre reinforced (30%). This material shares many properties with PTFE.&nbsp; These tweezers combine excellent mechanical strength and toughness with excellent chemical resistance. They are heat stabilised, have a high heat capacity and can be used continuously at temperatures up to 150\u00b0C. Fully clean room compatible due to high abrasion resistance with low particle extraction value.&nbsp; Excellent chemical resistance to solvents, mineral oils, halogens, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and hydrofluoric acid. Resistant to UV and nuclear radiation. Fully ESD safe material.&nbsp; Typical applications include handling of very scratch- and contamination-sensitive materials.&nbsp; Cleaning and etching operations. Assembly and handling of medical devices. Hard and brittle materials such as silicon pieces or glass are best handled with these tweezers. These fully non-magnetic tweezers are ideal for handling magnets and magnetic materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EM-Tec CN polyamide (PA66) carbon fibre reinforced ESD safe plastic tweezers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These tweezers are made from engineering plastic polyamide66 and reinforced with 30% carbon fibres.&nbsp; The ESD safe material is rigid, exhibits excellent tensile and flexural strength and shows excellent wear and abrasion resistance. It is self lubricating, has good heat capacity and good chemical resistance against oils, grease, fuels and non-polar solvents. It is not resistant to strong acids, alkalies, hot water or steam.&nbsp; For chemical applications use the&nbsp;EM-Tec CT PVDF carbon fibre reinforced tweezers. Typical applications are frequent handling of sensitive samples, components, mechanical parts, silicon substrates, ceramics, glass and soft materials.
